Description:
UE093. Group of large vessels, with smooth surfaces caused by erosion (some of them preserve the red slip in areas). They were found at a depth of 0.30 m, very close to the NW edge of tomb T2, and was covered by UE005. The most numerous forms were large vessels on pedestals. There were also pots with a truncated cone profile and extensive lips, very similar to the "Zumbito" type at the end of the Middle Ceramic. The deposit also contains bowls with wide bases very similar to the "Talingo" variety of the Cubitá group. Among the vessels were found a large number of rounded pebbles and bones of large animals. Inside one of them was collected an offering of shells (see card 1808). The earth matrix is grayish brown, and very compact in blocks; it also contains quartz and manganese minerals and iron oxides. It seems to extend north and northeast of the excavation boundary. The unit was not excavated in its entirety, therefore its extent is unknown.
