Description:
Breastplate of hammered and embossed gold alloy with the frontal design of the face of a supernatural being with facial features of an old man. It was part of the mortuary ensemble of individual 20, an infant, of the T2 tomb, along with other two pectorals, four bracelets and a necklace of green beads. It has two orifices for hanging at both sides of the beginning of the nose. Conte Style The design represents only the central part of the face where we see a wide and flat nose with little pronounced nostrils, the eyes formed by two oblong concentric circles and an open mouth that shows rectangular teeth outlined by eight parallel incisions. The forehead wrinkles, the cheekbones and the nasolabial fold are very pronounced.
