Conservation treatment:
The majority of the object was covered in a large amount of sediment (soil), from the excavation. This prevented perceiving the details of the object; the most fragile areas were protected by consolidating them with a 6% Paraloid B-72 solution diluted in acetone. This consolidation was carried out mostly in the head area, as there was a large area of cracking. After this, the object was thoroughly cleaned with bamboo skewers using a stereo microscope to ensure that the surface was not damaged. This process was long, and after mechanical cleaning, a mixture of ethanol and demineralised water (50:50) was applied to bamboo skewers this time with cotton attached to them. At the end of this process some fragile areas were re-consolidated.
