Digital Object 1404
Description:
Globular vessel without a ring base. It has a long neck and a laterally displaced rim, and is covered in white slip. The piece features geometric and zoomorphic patterns. A zigzag line delimits the decorative patterns creating semicircular spaces. In these, large bodied birds with prominent crests of feathers are represented in an asymmetric way. The vessel has black lines on the shoulder and rim, the latter having geometric patterns attached. The neck is decorated with alternating red and purple bands, which leave the white color of the slip visible between them.
